Clearwater Canyon Cellars in Lewiston, Idaho, is earning regional recognition for its wines. Its 2018 Phinny Hill Vineyard Carménère from Washington won the award for best red wine at the 2020 Cascadia International Wine Competition. The winery was also recognized as Wine Press Northwest’s 2020 Pacific Northwest Winery of the Year. Karl and Coco Umiker in Lewiston, Idaho, worked with Phinny Hill Vineyard in Washington’s Horse Heaven Hills to produce the 2018 Carménère, which came very close to taking the best-of-show honors, as well. The City of Moscow and Farmers Market Commission just announced that Julene Ewert, a trail guide artist and one of 2dnw's graphic designers, has been selected to create the visual design toolkit for the Moscow Farmers Market.  This special design project is intended to serve the brand identity of the Moscow Farmers Market. Ewert will work closely with Community Events Division staff to create a style guide and program graphics that are complementary to existing City of Moscow branding. Starting at at 6:30 pm with sign up starting at 5:30 pm. They will have about 30 spots so make sure to get there early to secure your chance. Cost is $10.00, which covers your first beer and prizes for the top three players! All skill levels are welcome and you will be paired randomly with each other over the course of three rounds.
