Hearthstone Lodge is a boutique hotel that has 23 artistic and individually unique guest rooms with all of the amenities of world class lodging. Each room includes a jacuzzi, with the exception of two suites in the chalet, which is a hand-hewn log building. Hearthstone Restaurant Bakery offers gourmet breakfasts and lunches - everything from freshly baked old world artisan breads, pastries, espressos, fine teas, pastries and desserts. Harty and Marjorie Schmaehl, owners of the Hearthstone Lodge just two miles from Kamiah, purchased a downtown Kamiah building, then spent a year restoring it before opening their bakery in 2002. Helio-Terra
"Helio-Terra," 2012, Wren Welcome Garden, created by Robert M. Horner. Helio-Terra is a mass of locally quarried earth that is compacted into a form resembling a seed. The geometry of artwork is gesture towards the agricultural heritage of Moscow, as well as the grain towers that flank the site. The seed is a concentration of nutrient that gives forth the energy necessary to yield future sustenance, and thus serves as a metaphor for the community of Moscow. Helio-Terra is at the south entrance to Moscow, at the intersection of State Highways 8 and 95.
