Coming to a block near you is The Block Party! The City of Moscow, Moscow Chamber of Commerce + Visitor Center, and University of Idaho invite you to party like a blockstar from 4 to 8 pm on Main St. between 3rd and 5th St., Sat. Aug. 27 following the Moscow Farmers Market.
The Block Party is a revival of the Vandal Town Block Party and celebrates the strong and welcoming community ties of the Moscow community. Community members, including students and visitors, are in for a treat during this laid-back, family-friendly, summer event featuring:
- Karaoke Contest with a grand prize for winning contestant
- Tabletop Speed jenga with prize baskets for winning contestants
- Tug-of-War against Vandal student-athletes with gift cards for teams that defeat the mighty Vandals
Food and beverage vendors will be on-site and DJ Dave will be spinning records in Friendship Square. Micro soccer and hoops are also in store for anyone looking to practice their sports skills and plenty of drop-in oversized yard games will be available. Visitors twenty-one years or older planning on purchasing and drinking beer and/or wine may receive a wristband and event cup at the identification check booth by the downtown clock.
