2DNW | Store/Business Incubator in Moscow

grant workshopTwo Degrees Northwest has rented a space in downtown Moscow as a base of operations for our services, including business training for artists and specialty food producers as well as cooperative marketing of our region of north central Idaho and southeastern Washington. We will display a map and producer bios that will help visitors find sites, art studios, u-pick farms, unique stores, etc. We have a retail space, including a large front window, where we will sell fine crafts, non-perishable specialty foods, and art from throughout the region. In addition to selling products in the store, we will also assist sellers in getting their products listed and shipped for sale on shopthefrontier.com, our partner organization. We have a photo studio set up to photograph products. We are working to arrange internships for University of Idaho students who can work with participants on skills such as packaging and display. Please see the store policies to find out about other services. We welcome feedback about the policies. As you read through the policies, please note that some services we are prepared to offer now and others are pending funding and partnerships that are in the works.

If you have products you would like to sell, please drop off your work at the store (210 S. Main St.) Tues-Sat 10:00-6:00. Or call or email me if those times don’t work for you ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ; 208-882-8470). Your products will be juried for quality, marketability, etc, and then we will set up a private consultation with you to go over the results. Our goal, as a nonprofit organization, is to work with you to help you gain the skills you need to sell your work and to reach diverse markets. (A note about food products: they need to be produced in a commercial kitchen in order for us to be allowed to sell them in the store. We are working on getting access to a local commercial kitchen to facilitate this). Please let me know if I can answer any questions. If you have an idea when you will be dropping off your work, please email or call me.  We are excited to be able to offer this opportunity to promote our wonderful region and the many talented people who live here!
